About the Role:
We're looking for a results-driven Grants and Partnerships Consultant to help us unlock new funding opportunities and strategic collaborations. You’ll identify funders, craft winning proposals, manage donor relationships, and drive our partnership strategy. This is a great role for someone who’s proactive, strategic, and passionate about turning ideas into funded programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Grants Acquisition & Proposal Development
- Identify and pursue grant and funding opportunities
- Lead or support development of proposals, concept notes, and budgets
- Ensure proposals align with EGA’s mission and comply with donor requirements
Grant Management & Reporting
- Coordinate donor reports (narrative + financial) and ensure timely submission
- Monitor compliance and track grant deliverables
- Maintain organized grant records and reporting systems
Partnership Development
- Build and manage relationships with donors, foundations, corporates, and government partners
- Represent EGA at strategic events, meetings, and forums
- Support partnership contracts, MOUs, and negotiations
Fundraising Strategy
- Contribute to donor mapping and engagement strategies
- Track and report fundraising metrics
- Provide insights to improve EGA’s resource mobilization approach
Donor Communications
- Collaborate with communications to develop donor-facing materials and success stories
- Prepare decks, briefs, and presentations
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Development, Business, Communications, or related field (Master’s is a plus)
- 3–7 years of experience in grant writing, donor engagement, or partnerships
- Strong writing and proposal development skills
- Familiar with donor landscapes (bilateral, multilateral, foundations)
- Good budgeting and project coordination experience
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder
- Strategic thinker who can work independently and as part of a team
